WebSphere based Applications to Multi-Touch & Smart Devices

A giant Financial Services company wanted to launch a fresh new retail banking experience on multi-touch and smart devices. They were looking for a company that could rapidly deliver standard based Rich Interfaces that would surface well both on regular desktop browsers and Smart Devices. Streebo, well known for its thought leadership in Software Automation, was the chosen technology partner and was handed over an aggressive deadline to mitigate compliance risk.

Tapping into the legacy systems via a SOA approach, Streebo used IBM Automation technology and Streebo SMART Parts to rapidly create smart device interfaces to 28 different banking transactions all along creating a rich immersive user experience. Taking a unique “assembly-line” approach to design and manufacture the smart device interface, Streebo engineers not only gave it a rapid turn-around but ensured that our client got a standard-based, scalable interface that would be easy to enhance and maintain. The end-result was service end-points synchronized with a sharp yet intuitive interface for retail banking that delivers on the web 2.0 promises.

Working closely with the office of CTO, Streebo further helped the banking giant establish a “Center of Excellence” around the IBM Factory Automation Technology. Our thought leadership in software automation and niche focus on the Factory technology allowed us to score quick wins for our client while laying out a strong foundation for multi-country roll-outs.

The Smart Banking Solution built on WebSphere Portal Platform was launched in May 2010 and it surfaced financial products and services on multi-touch kiosks across retail banking centers in Japan. Since then our client has received outstanding consumer feedback for the enhanced banking retail experience. The smart interface coupled with automated back-office operations   has set new benchmarks in the financial industry - with a turn-around for a printed, embossed & personalized credit card from the multi-touch kiosk all under record 30 minutes.
