Lotus Mashups - Understand and realize the power of Mashups
Course Description
Overview

This half-day course is targeted towards the business users will enable them to understand and witness the power of Mashups applied to real world applications as well as to rapidly construct basic "Mashed Web Applications" using the Lotus Mashups Platform. Lotus Mashup, part of the IBM Mashup Center portfolio, is a web-base platform that allows the business users to construct and aggregate services on the fly.

This course will develop an initial understanding of the IBM Mashup Center and how it can be applied to different back-ends in various business settings. From a technical perspective, this course exposes the business users on techniques to tap into operational and warehouse data to create "data conduits". It also discusses data transformation features available in the Mashup center. Hands-on lab also includes exercises that leverage pre-built widgets provided by IBM to aggregate and assemble services. Users learn to create rich User Interface and aggregate data on the client side (Mashups). It is recommended to combine this course with LMB112 to learn techniques to building multiple data pipes and wiring widgets.

Audience

This introductory course is targeted towards business users who are using or considering using IBM Mashup Center and particularly Lotus Mashups to create new insights into business data. This compressed 1-day (WPC11 and WPC12) workshop leaves the business user armed with the understanding of key functions and features of the IBM Mashup technology.
