Solution Components include portlets and widgets readily available for the following Employee and Manager Self-Service functions. These portlets or widgets can be surfaced on WebSphere Application server, WebSphere Portal server and can be accessed via desktop browsers and smart interfaces.

Employee Information	This portlet allows the employee to view, edit or manage their personal information.
My Contact Information	This portlet allows the employee to view, edit or maintain their contact information – addresses, email and phone numbers.
Emergency Contact	This portlet allows the user to view, edit or maintain emergency contact information.
Skills	Employees can use this service to enter, update and review their skills (this includes languages).
Education/Certifications	Employees can use this service to enter, update and review certifications, and education.
Pay Slip	This portlet allows the user to view pay slip information.
Paycheck options	This portlet allows the user to view paycheck option information.
Tax withholdings	This portlet allows the user to view and change the tax withholding information.
Benefits	This portlet allows the user to view benefits information.
Employee Directory	Employees can use this to look up people in the organization.
Absences	This allows a user to view her absences.
Absence Request	This allows a user to request an absence.
Family Members	This allows a user to view and update their family member information.
Employee Loans	This allows a user to view his loans.
Performance Review	This allows a user to look at past performance reviews (appraisals) and updates/edit current appraisals.
Benefits Open Enrollment	A set of configurable interfaces that can be set-up as a wizard for easy step-by-step open enrollment.

Manager Self-Service

Team Viewer	Team Viewer is a portlet that displays a list of the employees reporting to a manager
Team Calendar	This portlet shows a snapshot of all the current month with the list of employees and their availability/time off. The user is free to change the view on the portlet to filter for different months/years.
Reports	This portlet allows a manager to view multiple reports – birthdays by month, company anniversaries, overtime, vacation balance by person, department, division, Salary change report, monthly leave report and leave history report
Budget	This portlet allows you to view information about the budget allocated for the logged in manager’s organizational unit.
Qualifications	This is a portlet that displays the qualifications of the employee. It also displays the proficiency of the employee for each of his/her qualifications.
Absence Days	Absence Days is a portlet that displays the number of days of absence of the employee during a certain period.
Employee Profile	This portlet allows managers to view a snapshot of employee data.
